Sleeping in the Graveyard of Glasgow Cathedral

Sleeping in the Graveyard of Glasgow Cathedral

DSCN6928The cathedral graveyard with its oaks and sinewy

trees nestled with bones, a perfect

place for eternal rest. Next to the grave

of John Williams and family who passed

on over 200 years ago,  I stretched out

in the shade,  some 12 feet above their

intimate repose. I wondered

if I would encounter them.

Blessedly, my dreaming siesta time,

was undisturbed by the dead  in the shadow

of the looming Glasgow Cathedral.

I am grateful the Williams shared their

repose with me.

p.s.

I did not want to stop for death, but at least I stopped for a siesta.
