Multimedia performance art conversation about the nature of desire.

FANA
The prison is a a two foot about 7 foot wide space. Prison bars. On the bottom is a field of broken glass. The wall has photographs of nudes men & women, Photographs of children; poems and writings of Neruda, Whitman, Anais Nin, Sappho, Petronius, Namaya;drawings of Namaya — Aisha Dreaming; And the figure “Madonna of Desire,” a barbed wire figure in the guise of a Priapus with A red condom. Pieces of broken glass layer across the top.

The project has a series of curtains in front with the questions and statements, “Curious? Horny? What is Your desire? No one under 30? No one over 30?” The plastic sheer curtains are six feet high 5 feet wide And create the “profana” in front of the curtains.

The audience has the choice to enter and to walk past the curtains. The Crucifixion is not Imposed on them, if they choose to view it, they need to walk past the maze of questions.

In future installations, the nudes, the poems and other fragments will be on the curtains.
